Question
How do water temperature and water age impact chloraminated systems?
Summary
Temperature and water age impact on chloraminated systems
Answer
An increase in water temperature and age are a possible signal of an onset of nitrification. Corrective actions for nitrification is to improve circulation, increase flushing and decrease the storage capacity within the storage tanks. Water temperatures between 25°- 40°C are the most favourable for nitrification.
