Question
How is turbidity calculated in the TL23 series turbidimeters when air bubbles are present?
Summary
Different steps programmed in calculation.
Answer
The TL23 series turbidimeters inlcude an air bubble reject feature that uses the calculations below to determine turbidity when air bubbles are present.
  1. Sampling the standard by N and get sampling values V1, V2... Vn (N is the average size set in the reading mode)
  2. Sort the sampling values V1 to Vn from smallest to biggest
  3. Remove the first 30% of the biggest values; these values are regarded as 'bubble impacted.'
  4. Average the remaining values for the final NTU.
