Question
What is the minimum sample volume for the SIP10 Sipper Unit for TU5200 Benchtop Laser Turbidimeter?
Summary
SIP10 for TU5200 minimum sample volume
Answer
For the SIP10 Sipper Unit for TU5200 Benchtop Laser Turbidimeter  (Catalog Number/Order Code LQV157.99.50002) the  manual specifications state 120 mL minimum to remove sample from the tubing.

The system was tested down to the mentioned volume and has not been tested below. With low volume samples in the sipper application these are some potential issues (there may be other unknown issues as well):
  1. The 12 mL sample amount in the vial is not totally flushed out by the same amount of new sample. There is some delay until the whole sample is exchanged due to mixing effects.
  2. Potential contaminations (left-over sample) in the whole system may not be completely removed due to reduced flushing. So measurement may not be as adequate as with more sample fluid.
This may not be the complete list of risks. Since the vial, head, and tubing already takes more than 22 mL it is not recommended to use a sample volume smaller than the mentioned 120 mL. In this case it may actually be better to measure without the sipper and use the laboratory vials instead.
