Question
Can I trim my Radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag to fit a specific sample cell or bottle?
Summary
Cutting or trimming RFID tags is not recommended.
Answer
Cutting, trimming, or otherwise changing the shape of Hach RFID tags is not recommended as any change to the tag may affect the tag's ability to be read by the instrument.

In addition, RFID tags should never be applied to a TU5 series sample cell. Best practice for lab turbidity sample collection is to collect a sample into a clean, glass container and then transfer it to the sample cell. This gives the sample time to outgas and decreases the chance of micro bubbles causing issues in measurement

RFID tags can be purchased for use with DR3900, DR6000, and TU5 series turbidimeters.
