Question
What is the cause of the 'Probe Missing' error on the Amtax sc or Phosphax sc analyzers?
Summary
'Probe Missing' error on Amtax or Phosphax sc analyzers.
Answer
The 'Probe Missing' error can be caused if the Filterprobe sc comes disconnected from the Amtax sc or Phosphax sc analyzer.  First check these connections at the circuit board on the Amtax sc or Phosphax sc (see attached image of connection locations).  If these connections are seated well on the circuit board, and the error is still present, immediately take the Filterprobe sc out of the water and out of operation.  Contact service, and store the filter modules so they remain moist.  Store the Filterprobe sc in a dry location until it is serviced.

If a Filtrax is supplying sample to the analyzer, not a Filterprobe sc, and this error is present, it is necessary to change a menu option.
Go to Menu>
Sensor setup>
Chose the Amtax sc or Phosphax sc>
Maintenance>

Option>
Select 1 channel or 2 channel depending on the number of sample streams
