Question
Is the power cord used with sc200 controllers rated for Class 1 Division 2 environments?
Summary
Power cord usage in hazardous environments
Answer
United States National Electrical Codes and Canadian Electrical Codes will not allow a power cord connection to the sc200 in a Class 1 Division 2 (CID2) hazardous location.  The plug would be an ignition hazard because the main circuit is incendive and the circuit conductors must be either armored or in conduit for protection against damage to its insulation resulting in arcing (sparking). The sc200 must be hardwired in conduit or armored cable.
