Answer
Though air bubbles around the sensor cap could be of some concern and could show positive bias, this is likely not the cause. Clark style probes will also entrap air bubbles with their membranes to show higher readings, but end users typically do not see these bubbles because they diffuse through the membrane. LDO technology traditionally reads higher when compared with Clark cell (YSI) and Winkler titration. LDO is always closer to theoretical value if testing is performed correctly (see attachment for more details).
