Summary
APA6000 and accuracy check
Answer
A 10mg/l standard solution for testing the Monochloramine APA can be easily prepared, as follows:
- Add 5 ml of Reagent 3 solution (Hypochlorite reagent) to a volumetric flask or graduated cylinder.
- Dilute to 200 ml with Standard 2 solution (2 mg/l Ammonia as N).
- Mix thoroughly and deliver to the analyser in place of sample.
- The reading on the APA should be 10 mg/l Monochloramine as Cl2, 0 mg/l Ammonia. (Hypochlorite reagent has a nominal concentration of approximately 600 mg/l Cl2.)
