Question
What will foul or poison the membrane cap on the chlorine sensor?
Summary
CL10sc and chlorine sensor fouling
Answer
Specifications are as follows:
pH operating range without external buffering: 4.0 to 9.0 pH
Conductivity Range: 10 to 2,500 micro Siemens

What will foul or poison the membrane cap? Lime, rust (from iron), manganese dioxide (MnO2), fats, oils, suspended particles, abrasive particles, surfactants (detergents, soap, etc.)
In our opinion, low chlorine dosage is not an issue, but the sensor cannot be used continuously in dechlorinated water

Interferences:   Free chlorine sensor - ozone, chloramines, chlorine dioxide, and chalk deposits.
Total chlorine sensor - ozone, chlorine dioxide, and chalk deposits.
