What does Sample 1 Warning (W12) mean on the Amtax sc analyser? How troubleshoot?
Summary
Amtax sc Sample 1 Warning (W12) information and details
Answer
An issue with the non-return sample pressure relief valve on the drain side of the overflow vessel can result in the Sample 1 Warning (W12) on the Amtax sc analyser. This can cause back pressure on the sample and restrict the flow when the piston is drawing sample. It can change the pressure enough to cause the error but still allow enough sample into the sample chamber. The "leak test" only tests pressure leaks at the solenoid and doesn't test for backpressure. Pressure difference during the cycle should be minimal (0.9983 bar dropping to 0.9943 bar for example). Each analyser will be a little bit different. A leak will be detected by a significantly larger pressure difference during the cycle. Removing the sample relief valve can resolve the issue if it is faulty.

The relief valve is Catalog Number/ Order Code LZY867 if it needs to be replaced.
