Question
Can I simulate a conductivity value to test the sensor's sensor functionality?
Summary
Conductivity sensors and signal simulation
Answer
A contacting conductivity sensor can be simulated using fixed resistors. By attaching a resistor between where the drive and sense signals are terminated (red and black wires) a sensor can be simualted to the controller. The electrodeless sensor cannot be simulated in the same procedure, but a fixed resistor can be used with the sensor to simulate a conductivity value. By running a wire through the middle of the sensor with a resistor in series with the wire, a conductivity value can be simulated to the sensor itself to test for stability.
