What is colorimetry?
Colorimetry is the method of using color intensity measurements to determine the amount of a substance dissolved in solution. A colorimetric measurement is typically a two-step process that is based on comparison: 1. A zero reading with typically sample only (no reagent added). 2. Sample reading with reacted sample and reagent. The reacted sample intensity will be compared to the zero reading intensity and a concentration will be determined based on the instruments calibration curve.
