Question
Why is the SDS disposal section different between the ammonia TNT+ and TNT reagent sets?
Summary
Different disposal guidelines for TNTplus and TNT salicylate reagents
Answer
Each Safety Data Sheet (SDS) will have disposal guidelines detailed in Section 13: Disposal Considerations. The nitrogen-ammonia TNTplus reagent sets TNT830, TNT831, and TNT832 have recommendations to dispose as a hazardous waste. The nitrogen-ammonia Salicylate Low Range (LR) or High Range (HR) TNT reagent sets do not have the same recommendations. The disposal recommendations are consistent with formulary and chemical reaction differences between TNTplus and TNT reagent sets.

Disposal guidelines detailed in Section 13 are based on United States (US) federal requirements. Local requirements for disposal can be more stringent then federal guidelines. Confirm local requirements before disposal of reagent sets or reacted samples.
