Summary

Answer
A serologic pipette is a graduated pipette in which the calibration marks extend all the way to the tip for example when drawing fluid to the 5 mL mark the entire amount is dispensed. The other type is a Mohr pipette, where the calibration marks do not extend to the tip but at a point above the tip, for example when drawing up to the 5 mL mark the fluid is then dispense to the 0 mark not completely evacuating the fluid from the pipette.
