Summary
Compliance reporting of TOC methods 10129, 10173 and 10128 and TNTplus 810 and 811
Answer
The Hach TNTplus™ Method 10267 has been added to the Approved Alternative Test Procedures for the Analysis of Contaminants under the Safe Drinking Water Act, and reference to this approved Hach method can be found on the U.S. Federal Register website.

However, Hach does offer the QbD1200 Lab TOC analyser which is suitable for compliance reporting (SM 5310 C, USP 643, JP 16). Calibration takes 90 minutes and samples take between 5-10 minutes, depending on their TOC level. The instrument automatically selects the appropriate range between 0.4 ppb and 100 ppm, and an auto-sampler is available for multiple-sample analysis. Please visit the QBD1200 Laboratory Total Organic Carbon Analyser Video page for more information.

The Test 'N Tube methods methods 10129, 10173 and 10128 for TOC determination are not suitable for compliance reporting becausethey does not meet those requirements; they are intended for process control only.
