Question
Why is there no yellow color after adding diphenylcarbozone reagent for chloride titration with mercuric nitrate?
Summary
Yellow color in chloride titration may be too pale to see
Answer
The color may be too pale to see. Titrate as normal and look for a pale pink color for the endpoint. It is also helpful if the flask is set on a white paper so that color changes are easier to see.
