Question
What does LED Low Error on the 5500sc AMC analyzer mean?
Summary
5500sc AMC and LED low error.
Answer
There are a few reasons why an LED Error would appear. The main reasons are a dirty or scratched sample cell. Run several manual cleaning cycles in a row (4-6 cycles) to ensure the sample cells are clean and free of any debris. Another possible reason is the connection between the colorimeters and main board needs attention. Check for any corrosion and plug/unplug each connection on the colorimeter/circuit board (with the analyzer powered down) several times. It is also possible there is an issue with the LED itself or a detector, in which case the colorimeter itself would be replaced (Product # 9568500).
